KNOWLEDGE NETWORK : In order to accelerate input, increase its reliability and assist with it, Skill Designor© Pro uses a knowledge network, so that the response to the following stage is always given, based on experience previously capitalised by the system. An example for a given operation is only to show the possible modes, and for a given mode only to show the possible causes…The knowledge network must give the user the next stage, without having to view or search from among the thousands of terms in catalogues. The precise wording is unimportant: some ten terms are shown, and the choice is therefore instantaneous.

CAPITALISATION : The specific fmeas are created from generic FMEAs. A generic fmea capitalises, under control, on all the knowledge added in its specific fmeas. The specific fmeas are created from generic fmeas; every enrichment of a specific fmea is capitalised in the generic fmea. Knowledge is gradually built upon by accumulating experience from all the studies.It takes 5 seconds to create a generic fmea, and one mouse click to capitalise automatically.Use of the generic fmeas is instantaneous, and capitalisation is guaranteed.

FUNCTIONAL ANALYSIS : Skill Designor Pro uses the life cycle (Life Cycle Cost) to analyse the functions expected by the client and their schedule of specifications (C.D.C.). The functional criteria define the level of constraints (norm X50-150). The special characteristics defined by the client's schedule of specifications are incorporated in the product functional analysis.
