A generic FMEA stores general informations related to a product or a process.

A specific FMEA is created from a generic FMEA. This method is used when your products have diversification, or common sub-elements beetwen them.

A dynamic FMEA consists of several generic or specific FMEA.

Any change on a generic or specific FMEA affects all the dynamic FMEA linked to these files.

This architecture allows you to update dynamicaly several FMEA by just modifying one.
